KUALA LUMPUR: A new build of the MySejahtera app that will indicate the Covid-19 vaccination status and risk level of users of the application in a single display is in the works tonight.
The latest build will make it easier for the people to display their vaccination status and Covid-19 risk level whenever they visit public places as the country gears towards treating the pandemic as endemic by end of the October.
The work involving the new build of the MySejahtera app was shared by Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin in a social media posting on his official Twitter account this evening.
"The MySejahtera (app) team will push a new build tonight making it easier for the people to display their risk level and vaccination status.
"This will ease living with Covid, together," said Khairy.
The tweet, which was accompanied with a picture of the new build of the MySejahtera app, has received almost 8,000 likes among social media since Khairy shared the matter on his Twitter account about 9pm.
"(We) will continue update and improve the app over the coming weeks," he said.
The Malaysian-developed MySejahtera application has been used by the government in managing the Covid-19 outbreak nationwide since last year.
Developed under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342), the app provides vital information for users as a source of information throughout the Covid-19 outbreak including how and where to seek treatment if one is infected with Covid-19 and locations of nearest hospitals and clinics for screening and treatment.
