The must-have chicken feet salad

KOTA BARU: Kerabu kaki ayam (chicken feet salad), a popular traditional delicacy from Thailand, is a much sought-after buka puasa dish in Kelantan.

With its unique spicy and sour flavour, the dish is consumed by locals at the start of Ramadan.

In Kelantan, kerabu kaki ayam is priced at RM5 per packet.

Trader Wan Kalsum Yusuf, 55, said she started making the kerabu a few years ago.

"The ingredients for my kerabu kaki ayam are processed chicken feet, salt, sugar and some lemon juice or vinegar.

"They are then mixed well together," she said.

Wan Kalsum, who is from Kampung Pasir Pekan Hilir, said she sells more than 3kg of kerabu kaki ayam every day at a wet market here.
