KOTA BARU: The Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) will continue to monitor two problematic projects in Kelantan, Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said.
The Minister in Prime Minister's Department (Economic Affairs) said the two were the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport upgrading works and few packages of the Kota Baru-Kuala Krai highway project.
He said the two projects had been delayed for between 100 to 308 days and the government had taken necessary measures to resolve the problem.
"The highway projects involve Package 2B, 2C, 3B and 3C. The Public Works Department is taking the steps to address the problems," he told a Press conference after attending a meeting on Kelantan development projects at Darulnaim Complex here today.
Also present were Kelantan deputy state secretary (development) Datuk Dr Tengku Mohamed Faziharudean Tengku Feissal amd Kelantan Public Works Department director Mohd Suhaili Ismail.
Mustapa said the two projects were listed as problematic due to several reasons including lack of manpower and increase in material cost.
