Missing teenage girl found safe in Perak

KLANG: Police have confirmed that the teenage girl, who was reported missing from her home in Meru, here, since last Friday, was found safe this afternoon.

Klang Utara police chief Assistant Commissioner S. Vijaya Rao said the teenager, Nur Adriana Natasya, 17, was located in Hutan Melintang, Perak, by her family.

"Investigations found that the teenage girl, who is dyslexic, had run away from home three times before.

"(In those occasions) She had gone to a friend's house and returned home after being found by the police.

"In this latest incident, police were trying to trace the victim, who was initially believed to be around Ampang and Damansara.

"We were later informed that the victim has been found in Hutan Melintang, Perak in a safe and healthy condition by her family," he said in a statement today.

Vijaya Rao said police received a missing person's report on Saturday.

The media reported yesterday that her older sister had appealed to the public for help to locate the teenager who had gone missing from their home in Meru, Klang.

Nur Amira Natasya Noor Sazli, 20, said her family, especially her mother, was worried about the safety of Nur Adriana or Yana after they realised her disappearance at 5am.

Her mother, who was getting ready to go to work, noticed that the teenager was not in her room.

Nur Amira said Yana had left home with only a mobile phone.
