Hadi's health improving, but he needs rest, says son

KOTA BARU: Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang's health is improving, but he needs more rest.

Hadi's son, Muhammad Khalil Abdul Hadi, said his father is still undergoing treatment at a hospital in Terengganu.

"His condition is more stable today than yesterday. Doctors have suggested that he get enough rest."

Khalil, who is Batu Buruk assemblyman, said this today in a reply via WhatsApp to the New Straits Times.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, he said his father's condition was deteriorating and confirmed that he was undergoing treatment at a hospital.

He had said Hadi's health deteriorated slightly before Hari Raya Aidiladha on Thursday and he was being closely monitored by doctors.

He had said his father was not well when he attended the launch of the Terengganu Pas Youth election machinery in Marang on Tuesday, but he had insisted on attending.

Last week, Hadi and other Perikatan Nasional leaders attended the launch of the state PN election machinery in Kota Baru.

Six states are gearing up for state elections.

Hadi has been admitted to the National Heart Institute for treatment several times in the past few years.
