KUALA LUMPUR: Bersatu's Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal has claimed that opposition leader Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin received a "draft" of the allocations from a "representative" of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Wan Fayhsal, the Machang member of Parliament claimed that this was why many, including Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, were in the dark about the "draft" on allocations for opposition constituencies.
"It's not fake news," said Wan Fayhsal in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Yesterday, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil said the government did not provide any "draft" on allocations to members of the opposition.
Fahmi, who is also the government spokesman, said this in refuting Hamzah's claim on the matter.
Last week Hamzah met Fadillah on the issue of allocations for the opposition.
Fahmi said the meeting only heard proposals on allocations and that no documents were given to Hamzah and the other opposition leaders who attended the meeting with Fadillah.
