PPZ-MAIWP distributes 100 iftar meals to NSTP

KUALA LUMPUR: The Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council's Zakat Collection Centre (PPZ-MAIWP) distributed 100 iftar meals at the News Straits Times Press (NSTP) today.

This initiative, spearheaded by deputy director Mohammed Hassan, aims to provide sustenance during Ramadan and to foster a sense of community and solidarity with media professionals.

"We understand the challenges faced by those working during Ramadan. We hope these iftar meals can help ease their burden," Mohammed said.

The PPZ-MAIWP is one of the primary zakat institutions in Malaysia and was the first to introduce a systematic and organised corporate management style.

The PPZ-MAIWP collects zakat, particularly wealth zakat, in the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan.

This targeted focus allows for more impactful distribution of zakat, directly benefiting locals in these areas.
