PM to address pressing issues in ''Soal Jawab Perdana Menteri' programme tonight

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will delve into a host of issues and initiatives taken by the government in the "Soal Jawab Perdana Menteri" programme, which will air on all television stations at 9pm tonight.

In a special interview in conjunction with Labour Day today, Anwar will also elaborate on the more than 13 per cent increase in wages for civil servants, which was announced at the national-level 2024 Labour Day celebration in Putrajaya today.

Anwar is also expected to outline steps taken by the government to tackle the cost of living, including the various subsidies in place to lighten the people's burden.

He is also expected to state the government's stand on the issue of Palestine, as well as touch on his participation in the recent World Economic Forum (WEF) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in which he had engaged with world leaders.

Anwar, who is finance minister, will also elaborate on the government's efforts to draw foreign investment, as well as explain the actual situation concerning criticism that the government is not helping the Indian community.

The almost hour-long interview is conducted by RTM presenter Sayed Munawar Sayed Mustar, Pasha Abdul Rahim (Bernama TV), Muhammad Zulfitri Yusof (Awani) and Azaria Tagaya (TV3).

It will air on Bernama TV (Astro 502), RTM, Astro Awani, TV3 and other stations at 9pm.
