Four Kada officers allegedly involved in making false claims and receiving bribes arrive at Kota Baru court

KOTA BARU: Four Kemubu Agriculture Development Authority (Kada) officers, including its general manager, arrived at the Kota Baru court to obtain a remand order for allegedly making false claims and receiving bribes.

The four arrived at the court's compound at around 9:15am in MACC van and a car. Three of them, including the general manager, would be remanded for allegedly receiving bribes.

Meanwhile, the other officer's remand order, which ended today, would be extended.

It was reported that three Kada officers, including its general manager, were arrested by the MACC last night for allegedly receiving bribes. They were detained when summoned to the Kelantan MACC headquarters to have their statements recorded. The three, aged between 40 and 49, were detained separately between 7:15 pm and 8 pm.

On April 30, the state MACC nabbed a Kada senior officer, in his 40s, for allegedly making false claims for the agency's programmes. He was allegedly involved in making the claims between last year and early this year.
