Power Women Summit at MITEC inspires over 200 participants [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: The inaugural Power Women Summit, held on Friday (June 7) at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), was a resounding success, drawing over 200 participants.

Featuring barrier-breaking women across industries and generations, the summit highlighted those who are leading through opportunities and rising to define the next chapter of progress.

Power Women Summit founder Jennifer Ong said attendees left inspired and empowered by the captivating keynote addresses, four engaging panel discussions, and interactive workshops designed to equip them with the tools and knowledge to excel in both their personal and professional lives.

"We are thrilled to unveil the Power Women Summit 2024, a jubilant celebration of female empowerment and resilience," Ong, who is also the Founder of the MIND Academy and HAPA®️ Group Sdn Bhd said.

"This summit stands as a testament to the strength of women rallying together to uplift and empower one another.

"Through the amplification of diverse voices and experiences, we aim to ignite meaningful conversations and initiatives that will sculpt a more inclusive and equitable world," she said in a statement today.

Crafted by Women for Women, the Summit featured 13 speakers from business leaders to social activists, artists, and innovators, including Ong.

Others were Farrah Naz Karim, the New Straits Times group editor; Izzana Salleh, co-founder and global president of Project Girls for Girls; Cheryl Joannides, managing director of Estee Lauder Companies, Malaysia; Datuk Dr Nora Abd Manaf of Maybank Group; Jessy Chahal, TV anchor; Dr Adrianna James, The Tad James Company co-founder and certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) master trainer; Melinda Looi, founder of Melinda Looi Couture and award-winning fashion designer; Dr Deepa Sreenivasan of Hospital Kuala Lumpur; Aemy Wong, leadership coach; Winnie Loo, Branding Association of Malaysia president; Kim May Chee, founder of COCOdry; Freda Liu, broadcast journalist.

They shared their stories, insights, and expertise, igniting a spark for attendees to embrace their full potential and propel positive change to chart their own paths towards greatness.

Farrah was part of the third panel discussion on fostering resilience along Nora and Melinda, where they delved into how women can actively build and strengthen their support systems and highlights the importance of resilience and active cultivation needed in the process of creating a robust network of support.

Under the banner of empowerment and inclusivity, the summit amplified the voices of women worldwide, fostering dialogue, collaboration, and actionable change for a more equitable future.

It served as an impact space for women, shining a spotlight on leadership, entrepreneurship, mindset transformation, and personal growth.

A hallmark of the summit was the special gesture of giving each attendee a rose accompanied by inspiring quotes and thought-provoking questions, symbolising growth and self-reflection.

A significant highlight was the launch of the official journal for the Power Women Summit, Mindful Mirrors: A Neuro-Love Odyssey for Self-Love & Transformation, co-created by Ong and Kriska Pineda.

The book blends the practices of self-compassion with the powerful tools of NLP and the transformative insights of shadow work journaling.

Looking ahead, Ong said the 2025 Power Women Summit promises to be even more impactful, continuing its mission to empower women and drive global change.
