Sabah floods: Number of evacuees rises to 328; four relief centres opened

KOTA KINABALU: The number of flood evacuees in the state has risen to 328 as of 4pm.

A Sabah Disaster Management Committee secretariat report said the victims have been moved to temporary relief centres in Penampang, Putatan, Tuaran and Tamparuli.

Penampang has the highest number of evacuees, at 165 people from 67 families, while Putatan has 116 from 25 families.

They have been placed at the centres at the Sabah Cultural Centre in Penampang and Dewan Sri Putatan.

In Tuaran, 29 people from eight families have been placed at the Kampung Tutu Selupoh Hall while 18 victims from five families are seeking shelter at the Kampung Bontoi Hall in Tamparuli.
