KUALA LUMPUR: A 16-year-old boy died when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a Perodua Axia in a crash this morning on Jalan Dato Hussin, Kg Bukit Kuching, Kuala Selangor.
The impact from the crash is believed to have sent the motorcyclist flying off his vehicle, landing in a five-meter-deep ditch along the road.
A Selangor Fire and Rescue spokesman said they received a distress call at 7:32am, and a team of rescuers from the Kuala Selangor Fire and Rescue station rushed to the scene.
"The team, led by operations commander PB Azizi Tajudin, arrived at the scene and found that the victim had fallen into the ditch. A medical officer who arrived at the scene confirmed his death before firemen helped retrieve the victim from the ditch," he said.
He said the deceased's body was handed over to the police for further action.
