BATANG KALI: Missing teenager Nurul Aishah Farhana Azni left home voluntarily says Selangor police.
"She was found safe in Pahang with the man, and he has since been arrested.
"No medical evaluation will be conducted as the girl is well and left home voluntarily," State police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan told reporters at the sidelines of a crime prevention carnival at the Masjid Bandar Utama here on Thursday.
Deputy Inspector General of police Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, and Deputy Selangor police chief Datuk S. Sasikala Devi also attended the event.
It was earlier reported that the missing teenager was found safe in Triang, Pahang a day after she was reported missing.
A 20-year-old unemployed man, believed to have been in a relationship with the girl has been arrested.
Investigations revealed the suspect did not have a prior record and his urine test was negative for drugs.
The victim was believed to be having trouble with her family.
Police have classified the case under Section 363 of the Penal Code and Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act for kidnapping and physical sexual assault on a child respectively.
