KUALA LUMPUR: Police are tracking down the parents of three underage siblings seen in a car which one of them was driving, after a video of them went viral on social media and messaging apps.
In the almost two-minute video clip, a woman was seen reprimanding the eldest of the three, the one who was driving the Perodua Viva, with two other children believed to be his siblings.
It is understood that this was not the first time the trio were seen driving around unaccompanied. They have allegedly been spotted with the car several times before, although the exact locations are not known.
Federal Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said they will investigate the matter, including checking whether there are any reports lodged.
"We will also track down the children's family for further action," he said when contacted.
The video clip elicited various reactions from the public.
