MUAR: Muhammad Effzaldanish Mohd Effendy, who was reported missing since Monday while walking alone to school in Pagoh, has returned home safely today.

The 14-year-old boy returned to his grandmother's house in Jalan Kerayong, Rumah Rakyat 1 on his own at 11am.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz confirmed that the boy was safe, and would release further information soon.

The Form Two student from SMK Sultan Alauddin Riayat Shah 1, Pagoh, was last seen by his 90-year-old grandmother when he left the house at 7am on Sunday.

A missing person's report was lodged the next day after attempts by his relatives to locate him were futile.

Effzaldanish, an only child, lives with his grandmother Jaminah Shari, after he lost his mother to breast cancer three years ago.

His father resides in Tampin, Negeri Sembilan, with his stepmother.
