PITAS: Three people died, while three others suffered minor injuries after a morning fire razed their house here.
The Fire and Rescue Department was alerted to the incident at 2.19 am and arrived at the scene at 3.10 am.
The house, located at Kampung Blok 5, is approximately 65 kilometres from the nearest fire station.
The deceased are Abdul Malik Mad Tasin, in his 50s and his 11-year-old daughter Nur Adriana Qistina, 11.
Another casualty has been identified as Salleh Onding.
The three surviving female victims, who suffered minor injuries were taken to Pitas Hospital by members of the public.
"Two cars, a Perodua Kembara and a Proton Waja, were also destroyed.
"The charred bodies were handed over to the police for further action," said a statement from the Fire and Rescue Department.
