Body believed to be that of missing singer Nidza found near Sg Klang bridge

KLANG: The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department confirmed the discovery of the body of a man near the Sungai Klang bridge.

The department's assistant director of operations Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the man was wearing dark-coloured clothing with the number 56 printed on it.

"Leave it to the police," he told reporters when asked if the body was that of singer Nidza Afham Mokhtar, who went missing while jogging.

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, when contacted, said the body was believed to be that of Nidza Afnam.

However, he said this could not be confirmed, with investigators now waiting for the singer's family to provide visual identification.

It was reported that Nidza Afham's disappearance was related to a robbery case.

His sister, Afrina Hanie Mokhtar, said police believe Nidza Afham's disappearance was connected to the robbery case as his debit card and cash were missing.

His identification card, student card, and photographs, which were kept in the wallet of the former contestant of I Can See Your Voice Malaysia Season Three, were untouched.
