Stadium Sultan Suleiman where Nidza went jogging, popular spot for Klang residents

KLANG: Stadium Sultan Suleiman, where singer Nidza Afham was reported missing on Tuesday, has long been a popular spot for residents around Klang and its nearby areas.

The stadium, which is also known as Kota Raja Stadium serves as a location for recreational activities such as jogging and is a preferred venue for various small and large-scale programmes, including sports tournaments and other events.

Located in Jalan Padang near Klang Town Centre, the stadium's location is not hidden or out of public view.

It is about 2.3km from Jambatan Kota and approximately 800m from the Klang Selatan police headquarters, while the Alam Shah Palace is about 1.6km away.

A survey by the NSTP at 10.30pm last night found several people still jogging outside the stadium, and a notice at the stadium's entrance stated the permitted hours.

According to the notice, the public is allowed to jog every day from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and public holidays, from 6am to 9am and in the evening from 4pm to 7.30pm.

The stadium and jogging track were dark, with only lights outside the stadium illuminating the area.

Besides individuals jogging and exercising, there is a tennis court and a remote-controlled car track in front of the stadium.

According to reports, Nidza visited the stadium before he was reported missing.

Nidza, who is also the brother of singer Aufahanie, left home using a transportation service (InDrive) to the stadium to jog at around 7.45pm last Tuesday.

At 9.04pm on the same day, Nidza could not be reached, and his last known location through the 'Find My iPhone' app was at Jambatan Kota near the Klang Municipal Council.

The victim's family went to the location and found an iPhone and a wallet containing Nidza's identity card and student card, while his ATM card was reported missing.

Last night, Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, confirmed that the body of an adult male wearing a shirt with the number 56 was Nidza.

Nidza's body was found near Jalan Tepi Sungai, Solok Sungai, Taman Telok Pulai Indah at around 7pm yesterday.

The victim's body was retrieved by the police forensic team at around 10pm and taken to Shah Alam Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
