Minister orders probe after bus driver films students, calling them 'crush'

KUALA LUMPUR: A TikTok account displaying a school bus driver's questionable behaviour faces scrutiny after a concerned user alerted the situation on X.

The TikTok account, which has amassed over 600,000 followers, drew widespread attention for posting content involving school children paired with unsettling captions.

The post, which gained traction on X, highlighted a video featuring a primary school girl with the caption, "harini crush kita buat homework" (today our crush is doing her homework).

The X user @JatIkhwan criticised the video, stating, "The captions don't sit right with me.

"You don't post someone's daughter who's still in primary school with such a caption."

The public outrage spurred Women, Family, and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri to respond directly, denouncing such behaviour.

"This behaviour is not accepted and shouldn't be normalised."

"I have instructed the officers from Child Development Department to file a police report immediately and we are ready to cooperate with D11 IPK Johor," she said, responding to the X thread by Ikhwan.

D11 refers to the specialised unit focused on sexual crimes and offences against children.
