KUALA TERENGGANU: Three people were killed and six others injured in accidents involving participants of the RXZ Members 6.0 gathering in Terengganu.
Terengganu police chief Datuk Mohd Khairi Khairudin said the accidents occurred in Marang, Kemaman, and Hulu Terengganu as participants were returning home after the event.
The first accident happened on Saturday at Kilometre (KM) 24, Jalan Kuala Terengganu-Kuantan in Marang, claiming the life of 58-year-old lorry driver Abdul Salim Mohamed Hashim from Perak, who died at the scene.
The second accident, at KM 270.1 on the East Coast Highway 2 in Kemaman yesterday, killed 29-year-old Mohamad Firdaus Abdul Rashid from Negri Sembilan. Two motorcycles collided while trying to avoid a turtle figurine on the road.

The third accident occurred in Hulu Terengganu, where 29-year-old Ahmad Amir Muhamad from Pahang died after his motorcycle collided with another bike parked in the emergency lane. He was thrown onto the road and dragged by a lorry.
During a two-day operation starting last Friday, police issued 89 summonses and seized 15 motorcycles for various offences, including modified exhausts (24 cases), missing side mirrors (15 cases), and incomplete accessories (10 cases).
