ALOR STAR: The 1.5km stretch of Jalan Gunung Keriang to Anak Bukit has been temporarily closed for all vehicles due to the current floods.
Kota Setar police chief Assistant Commissioner Siti Nor Salawati Saad said the road closure involving Jalan Gunung Keriang Sungai Baru begins at Petronas Bandar Anak Bukit towards the Masjid Hidayatus Solihin Sungai Baru Gunung T-junction.
"The stretch is temporarily closed to avoid untoward incidents. All road users are advised to use alternative roads via Jalan Suka Menanti and Jalan Sungai Baru to travel to the city centre and to Gunung Keriang," she said in a statement.
