ALOR STAR: Flood conditions in Kedah have steadily improved, with more evacuees returning home as conditions stabilise in four districts overnight.
As of 8am, the Kedah Disaster Management Committee Secretariat reported 4,111 evacuees from 1,324 families are still sheltered in 30 temporary flood relief centres (PPS), down from 4,447 evacuees at midnight.
Kota Setar saw the largest decrease, with 2,664 evacuees from 874 families remaining in 16 PPS, compared to 3,005 evacuees from 978 families earlier.
In Pendang, flood evacuees remained unchanged as 1,230 evacuees from 379 families were still sheltered in 10 PPS.
Similarly in Kubang Pasu, 153 evacuees from 46 families remain in two PPS.
Pokok Sena experienced a slight rise, with 64 evacuees from 25 families in two PPS, up from 59 evacuees.
Meanwhile, the Public Infobanjir portal confirmed that no rivers in Kedah had breached dangerous levels this morning.
