BESUT: Besut Fire and Rescue Department personnel caught a 100kg python at Kampung Raja here yesterday.
The nearly 10m-long reptile was found in front of a resident's house, about 50m from the fire department.
Dept chief Muhammad Azrul Izzham Zulkifli said they received a call at 7.22am and deployed a team of four members to the site.
"They caught the snake in less than five minutes.
"The snake was handed over to the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan)."
