Thai motorcyclist dies in Temerloh crash

KUANTAN: A Thai woman was killed when she lost control of the motorcycle she was riding at Km128 of Jalan Kuala Lumpur-Kuantan near Kampung Paya Kujan bridge here today.

The 41-year-old trader with permanent resident (PR) status, who was travelling alone, succumbed to her injuries in the 12.05pm mishap.

Temerloh police chief Assistant Commissioner Mazlan Hassan said investigations revealed the victim from Seberang Temerloh was riding her Modenas Kriss towards Mentakab.

"While negotiating a bend, the victim is believed to have lost control of the machine before swerving towards the left side of the untarred road shoulder and falling off the bike. She died at the scene."

Mazlan said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

He urged those who witnessed the accident to come forward to assist in the police investigation.
