GEORGE TOWN: A crane tipped over at Changkat Delima 1 here this afternoon, but no one was injured in the incident.
It was reported that the crane, which was being transported by a trailer, struck a house and car.
The crane is believed to have been heading to a construction site for a highway project.
Seri Delima assemblyman Connie Tan said contractor, Consortium Zenith Construction (CZC), would close the road at Changkat Delima 1 to relocate the tipped crane from 11pm until 1am tomorrow.
"This incident is regrettable. I have requested a thorough report to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident," she said.
Tan said, although no one was injured, the incident should not be taken lightly.
"Safety measures must be prioritised, and I strongly urge the contractor to implement immediate corrective actions to prevent similar incidents in the future," she added.
Police are currently at the scene.
