Police open investigation into bullying case involving Tam Spider's son

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have launched an investigation into a bullying case involving the son of rock group Spider band member, Rustam Mustafah (Tam), and other students.

Dang Wangi police chief assistant commissioner Sulizme Affendy Sulaiman said as of today, five police reports were lodged in connection with the issue.

"An investigation paper has been opened under Section 323 of the Penal Code.

"We have recorded the victim's statement, and the case is still under investigation," he said in a statement today.

Spider's lead singer, Tam, 51, has recently revealed that his 14-year-old son had been a victim of bullying at a boarding school here.

He expressed disappointment with the school's lack of awareness and failure to take action against the bullying problem.

Following Tam's revelation, several other parents from the same school came forward with similar accounts.
