KUANTAN: A 16-year-old boy went missing from his house here after leaving behind a note informing his aunt he was going out to secure a job on Oct 12.
In the note, Rafik Hariss Lu Abdul Raafee, who is disabled, said that he would return home the same night but failed to do so. This prompted his aunt to lodge a police report on the same day.
Kuantan police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu said Rafik Hariss Lu, who has learning disabilities, had been attending lessons at a special education school here.
"Investigation revealed this is the second time Rafik Hariss Lu was reported missing after the first incident on Oct 1 before he was found in Alor Star, Kedah on Oct 3. The teenager lives with his aunt here while his parents are separated.
"On Oct 12, Rafik Hariss Lu left behind a note addressed to his aunt, informing her that he had gone out to find a job and would return home the same night. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black tracksuit and grey slippers," he said in a statement here today.
Wan Mohd Zahari urged anyone who has seen or has information about the missing teenager to contact the Kuantan police headquarters at 09-5652222 or any nearest police station.
