Fallen tree disrupts traffic on Secondlink Highway, no injuries reported [WATCH]

JOHOR BARU: A large fallen tree resulted in traffic disruptions on the Secondlink Highway early this morning.

The 12-metre-high tree fell along Km23.4, after the Perling toll plaza, completely obstructing the road and blocking motorists' path towards Pasir Gudang at 5.42am.

However, no injuries were reported.

It took personnel from the Larkin Fire and Rescue Department more than three hours to cut the tree into manageable pieces before clearing the road of debris.

The department's operation commander, Haizrul Rahmad, stated that traffic was restored after the tree was removed and that highway authorities reopened all road lanes to motorists at 9.06am.
