KUALA LUMPUR: A man died after his vehicle skidded off the road, trapping him inside it near Jalan Kuala Selangor, Kampung Merbau Indah here today.
The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said firefighters from the Bestari Jaya Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene after receiving a call at 9.02am.
Operations commander Kirushnan Muniandy reported that a Proton Persona skidded off the road on its own.
He said the Indonesian victim was found trapped in the driver's seat, sustaining critical chest injuries.
"The victim's body was extricated and was pronounced dead by the Health Ministry's medical personnel.
"The body has since been handed over to the police for further investigation," said the department.
