KUALA TERENGGANU: The number of flood victims in Terengganu's Kemaman and Dungun districts rose to 4,904 as at 4pm today.
According to the Terengganu Disaster Management Committee Secretariat, the two districts had 27 temporary flood relief centres (PPS), accommodating 1,181 families.
Kemaman had the most evacuees, with 4,608 people sheltering in 20 PPS.
In Dungun, seven PPS were housing 296 victims from 67 families.
The InfoBanjir website showed that Sungai Kemaman's water level at the Air Putih Bridge was at 14.08m, surpassing the danger mark of 14m.
Three rivers are at the warning level. Sungai Nerus in Kampung Langkap, Setiu, is at 20.11m and Sungai Dungun in Kuala Jengal is at 20.2m. The warning level for both rivers is 20m.
Sungai Tumpat in Kampung Baru Kemasik is at 2.49m, which is above the warning level of 1.9m.
Eight rivers are at the alert level: Sungai Dungun at the Dungun Bridge (10.45m), Sungai Dungun in Kampung Pasir Raja (37.22m), Sungai Telemong in Kuala Ping, Hulu Terengganu (17.76m), Sungai Kemaman at the Paya Paman Pump House (3.42m), the main drain in Padang Kemunting, Kuala Nerus (3.62m), Sungai Terengganu at the Pulau Bahagia Pump House in Kuala Terengganu (2.11m), Sungai Nerus in Kampung Bukit, Setiu (11.17m) and Sungai Tersat in Kampung Sekayu, Hulu Terengganu (19.22m).
