SANDAKAN: A foreigner was killed after he was attacked by a crocodile in a squatter area near a garbage dump at Batu 8, here, on Friday.
The incident occurred at around 8.20pm when the 28-year-old victim was on his way to his brother's house, crossing a wooden bridge.
Acting Sandakan police chief Superintendent K. Ramasamy said investigations found that while crossing the wooden bridge, the victim was attacked by a crocodile.
"His family members found the victim's body at 9.30pm on the same day.
"There were bite marks on several parts of the victim's body," he said in a statement today.
