NARATHIWAT: A singer, who was caught along with five others for allegedly possessing 6,000 yaba pills in Thailand, plans to continue her singing career once she is released from prison.
The 29-year-old woman hoped her Malaysian fans could forgive her and welcome her back into the industry.
The mother of two said she was aware that they had been making various assumptions about her arrest.
She told this to Malaysian reporters who visited her at the Narathiwat provincial prison in Thailand yesterday (Dec 20).
The singer from Kelantan said several cosmetic product founders were waiting for her to help them with their marketing.
"I agreed to help them with their marketing. I was informed that they were waiting for me to return.
I appreciate their support."
During the visit, the media practitioners handed over a copy of the Quran, as well as several novels and motivational books to the singer and her two friends.
On Nov 1, the singer, as well as five other Malaysians, were arrested for allegedly possessing 6,000 yaba pills at a hotel in Sungai Golok town.
Following their arrests, the Narathiwat court has granted police an 84-day further detention order against the six.
