BATU PAHAT: A father lost one of his three daughters, who were riding with him on his motorbike, in a fatal crash involving a lorry at Jalan Kampung Sungai Ayam yesterday morning.

His four-year-old daughter, Afiqah Syaurah Qamarul Arifin, was killed instantly in the 10.30am accident due to severe head injuries.

The other two daughters, aged seven and eight, sustained minor injuries to their arms and legs, while the father suffered injuries to his face and chest.

The 37-year-old motorcyclist was travelling from Senggarang towards Minyak Beku with his three daughters when the crash occurred.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which carries a penalty of two to ten years in prison and a fine ranging from RM5,000 to RM20,000 upon conviction.

Shahrulanuar urged witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist in the investigation.
