Families flock to Jom Heboh carnival for fun-filled activities in Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: Laughter and excitement filled the Sabah Sports Complex as families visited the second day of the Jom Heboh Carnival.

Among them was Dr Munirah Md Noor, a 39-year-old mother of five, who arrived with her children at 9am to join the colouring contest at the Studio Tonton Drama Sangat booth.

"I learned about this event as we live nearby.

"It's the first time we've participated in something like this.

"The children also brought home goodie bags filled with gifts.

"They were excited to meet Ejen Ali (and Alicia)," said the Queen Elizabeth Hospital specialist doctor from Kedah.

Dr Munirah's children were among the 30 participants in the activity.

Apart from the colouring contest, the booth has other activities such as Karaoke Calpis One in a Million, the Bulletin Challenge, and a meet-and-greet session with drama personalities during the daytime.

At 8.30pm, 'Pertandingan Ratu Etnik Sabah' will take place at the same venue.

Tonight's concert will feature artists such as Floor 88, Bella Astilah, Wani Kayrie, Ara Johari, Marsha Milan, and Khai Bahar.

After a successful tour across six states, the three-day 2024 Jom Heboh Carnival has reached Sabah for its grand finale.

Recognised as the "Longest Running Outdoor Event" by the Malaysia Book of Records, the carnival has become a phenomenon among Malaysians, offering endless fun and a wide array of engaging activities.
