Thousands flock to Jom Heboh Carnival in Johor Baru

JOHOR BARU: The 2024 Jom Heboh Carnival (KJH) here successfully drew thousands of visitors, including Singaporeans, on its second day.

A survey at Field B, Angsana Johor Baru Mall, where it is held saw a sea of visitors filling over 160 booths as early as 9am.

Various attractions, including a Zumba session at 8am was held on the main stage.

Sheila Heng, 48, a private sector employee from Singapore, said she and three friends departed from the republic at 6.45am to join the Zumba session at the event.

She and her friends were intrigued by the KJH advertisements on social media due to a range of activities.

"My friends and I are really into Zumba and aerobics, so when we saw the KJH Johor Baru ad last week, we decided to come.

"This is our first time attending the event here, and we didn't expect such a variety of booths offering different food and popular Malaysian brands that we could explore," she said.

Meanwhile, Fendi Aziz, 53, an engineer from Singapore, said he was thrilled to see the enthusiastic response to the event.

"My child and I wanted to experience the excitement of it, having never attended Karnival Jom Heboh before due to time constraints.

"But with the extended weekend, we finally got to enjoy the event, sampling a range of delicious food and trying out fun games at some sponsor booths," he said.

The Karnival Jom Heboh Johor Baru 2024 is being brought to the public by BABA's, It is being held for three days from yesterday until tomorrow, offering various activities, prizes, and entertainment.

Today's highlights include meet-and-greet sessions with One In A Million winners Suki Low and Ayu Damit at 3pm, as well as appearances by the cast of Luruhnya Bunga Cinta 2 and Polis Peronda, including Nabila Razali, Aniq Durar, Shah Iskandar, and Kodi Rasheed.

Tonight, the BABA'S Jom Heboh Concert Johor will take place on the main KJH stage at 9 pm, featuring Sofarz, Ayu Damit, Suki Low, Izzue Islam, Sufian Suhaimi, and Nabila Razali.

The final night's Jom Heboh Concert tomorrow will showcase popular acts such as Dolla, Projektor Band, Lil J, Dalia Farhana, Syamel, Wany Hasrita, and Mark Adam.
