BALING: A factory worker was killed when his Perodua Myvi crashed into the rear of a parked trailer along Jalan Baling-Kulim today.
The victim, identified as Muhammad Shafizuddin Mohd Shafie, 23, died from severe head injuries.
District police chief Superintendent Azmi Mokhtar said the incident occurred as the victim was en route to work in Kulim from his home in Sik.
"The crash happened when the victim lost control of the Myvi on a straight stretch of road, veering to the left shoulder and colliding with a trailer parked along the same direction," he said in a statement.
Shafizuddin's remains were sent to Kulim Hospital for post-mortem.
