KUALA LUMPUR: What started as a harmless joke turned into a nightmare for a 16-year-old girl when she ended stuck on a baby swing at a playground in Sungkai Perdana, Sungkai, Perak, this morning.
A team of firemen was rushed to the scene to rescue her after they received a distress call at 8.55am.
Friends of Bomba Malaysia's Facebook page, in sharing the incident, stated that rescuers had to use a special tool get her out of the predicament.
Luckily, the posting said, she was not injured.
The teenager's antics however did not go down well with netizens with many reprimanding her for the silly act. There were also those that described her action as a form of vandalism.
"(Not sure) To laugh or to feel bad? both (feelings) lingering in my mind," user @Shamsul Hisham said.
"The bomba is holding on to his laughter," said user @Cahaya Nur Aien.
User @Rozailan Rosli said: "Embarrassing. This is an example of vandalism which is not to be taken (lightly) as a joke among friends."
User @Faiq Roslan, who agreed with Rozailan's opinion, said the incident should be taken as a lesson for all and that vandalising public property should not be seen as a form of humour.
