KUALA LUMPUR: Father of the murdered Nurin Jazlin, Jazimin Abdul Jalil penned a poignant birthday message for his daughter, who would have been 24 on Monday.

The simple post touched the hearts of netizens.
Online users flooded the comments, expressing their sympathy for the tragic death of such an innocent child.
J Samsuddin Safian said she hoped that Nurin would be rewarded with heaven and wished that her family will continue to persevere with patience and acceptance in the face of God's tests.
Meanwhile, @Adrina Masri wrote that: "May the murderer receive appropriate punishment, if not in this world then in the hereafter."
Nurin, who was the second of three siblings to parents Jazimin Abdul Jalil and Norazian Bistaman, was kidnapped on August 20, 2007 when she left home by herself to head to a night market in Wangsa Maju.
Her failure to return home left her siblings and parents in a state of anxiety and distress. On the morning of September 17, 2007, her body was found in a sports bag in Petaling Jaya which investigations later confirmed that she was raped and murdered.
In 2018, Nurin's father urged police officials to reopen Nurin's murder case in hopes of finding something new with the use of modern technology but his plea was never granted.
The identity of her assailant remains at large and the case still remains unsolved until today.
