KUALA LUMPUR: Netizens have lauded the hard work and dedication of a clown and his wife who managed to silence all of their critics who said the husband would not be successful.
In a TikTok post, which has garnered more than four million views, Salina Aziz said it is through being a clown that her husband has managed to give her all the luxuries in her life.
"I am reminded of all the wicked comments by others who questioned my husband's income as a clown. They had asked me to find a man that could guarantee my future.
"But it is with this job as a clown that my husband could bring me, our kids, and his mother-in-law on a cruise. Can your kids do the same?" she said.
Salina also shared that her husband managed to buy her gold accessories, trips to high-end hotels, celebrate their anniversaries at restaurants, bring her on holiday to the Maldives twice, take their family to Umrah, and enjoy annual overseas trips and honeymoons, among other things.
"(He had also) purchased a house for his wife and kids. So far in our 13 years of marriage, we had never knocked on your door to ask for rice," Salina said, referring to her critics.
Besides running a clown business, the couple runs other side businesses, such as selling food.
Salina shared that her husband initially only offered clown services at events.
Not long after, Salina, who is skilled at drawing, began offering face painting services. Therefore, the two of them offered a combo package of clown and face painting for events such as children's birthday parties.
Their services gradually expanded, and they added a new service, which is children's character mascots.
Salina, who can also sew, makes a new clown costume for her husband every year.
