KUALA LUMPUR: Teamwork between a girl and her teacher during a sports day event at a kindergarten has gained attention on social media and amused netizens.
In a short clip posted by user @njwasyhda_, the little girl can be seen grossed out by dirt on the ball and reluctant to proceed with the game.
To encourage the girl to continue, a teacher brought a cloth and wiped the dirt off the ball until it was clean enough for the girl to get back into the game.
Seeing that the teamwork did not break any rules and no one tried to stop them, the girl and the teacher continued working together until they crossed the finishing line.
The caption of the video, written by the little girl's mother, further highlighted the girl's attitude: "How can we win in this situation? It's uncomfortable because the ball is dirty and wet. As long as Sophea (the girl) is happy, that's what matters. The teachers' effort is truly A+ for continuously wiping it."
The short clip gained 196,000 views and 3,419 likes recently, capturing the attention of netizens across social media platforms.
In the comment section, user @shiekeenahmad validated the little girl's feelings and remarked that it might be a sensory issue: "Even someone as old as me has sensory issues. When cooking, I wash my hands hundreds of times even though I only hold the ladle."
Meanwhile, @nurrulfatihah88 said: "My oldest child loves clean things. My child will never touch anything dirty due to sensory issues. Sometimes, we get worried when visiting people's houses because my child will complain about how messy their house is."
