KUALA LUMPUR: A video circulating on TikTok allegedly of a man bringing his dog into a convenience store in Rawang has stirred up the anger of netizens.
In the video, despite being warned by store staff, the man disregarded public sensitivities and entered the premises with his pet dog.
"The owner's actions displayed a lack of consideration towards the diverse Muslim customers who were present and enjoying their meals inside," stated the caption accompanying the video.
Netizens voiced their displeasure over the incident, condemning the man's apparent lack of common sense.
"This is unacceptable. Please refrain from such foolish actions. Pets are strictly prohibited on the premises," remarked @jules2729.
"People should be aware of basic etiquette. Food and beverage/health regulations explicitly prohibit animals. Unfortunately, many remain unaware of this fact. If everyone exercised common sense, such incidents could easily be avoided," added @sherrienor.
Responding to the incident, a store representative commented that the man had been informed multiple times about the policy.
"To clarify, our staff informed the customer several times that pets are not permitted inside. Eventually, security guards were summoned to escort him off the premises," stated @__nafathihah.
"Despite our efforts, the individual persisted and disregarded our instructions. Subsequently, law enforcement was contacted, and a report has been lodged," she concluded.
