KUALA LUMPUR: A curious kitten recently found itself in quite a predicament when its head got stuck in one of the holes of a coffee table.
In a Facebook post shared by the Sandakan Civil Defence Force, it said it received a MERS999 call from Sabah District Operation Control Centre (PKOD) about the incident.
"The PKOD personnel on duty rushed to the location and successfully rescued the kitten. Congratulations to the dedicated personnel," it said, accompanied by several photos of the 'rescue mission'.
To rescue the kitten, the two personnel were seen tilting the coffee table and cutting parts of the table with a saw.
During the process, the cat's foster parent could be seen waiting patiently for it to be saved.
