KUALA LUMPUR: A highway user received praise from netizens for his quick thinking in stopping a lorry driver whose tyre was wobbling and coming undone.
Facebook user Rulamrul Advansado shared a video of his timely intervention that helped prevent a potential accident.
In the video, he said he asked the lorry driver to stop after seeing the condition of one of its tyres.
"You know what would happen if I didn't stop this lorry? Look at its tyre; it's already wobbling, and look how many screws have come loose — there's only one left.
"It's dangerous. I saw the tyre wobbling, so I intervened," he said, adding that the lorry driver initially tried to overtake his car despite his signal asking the driver to stop.
User Mohdasrri Yaakup wrote" "This is truly helping fellow road users. You're the best, brother — saving lives.
Another user, Mohd Azwan, wrote; "If the (wobbly) tyre hits a car, the car would be wrecked."
Meanwhile, user Jos Jos said the lorry driver should have checked the condition of his vehicle before starting his journey.
"Those things don't just come loose on their own; they must be inspected regularly. I'm a lorry driver too, so I know."
