SUNGAI BULOH: The police are asking the owner of the dashboard camera footage showing a car driving against traffic near Elmina Business Park to come forward and assist with the investigation.
Sungai Buloh district police chief, Superintendent Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said they the video went viral after it was shared by a user on the social media platform X.
"The video uploaded on X shows a car driving against the flow of traffic.
"Preliminary investigations revealed that the incident occurred at 11.10pm the night before on Jalan Kuala Selangor, near Elmina Business Park, coming from Sungai Buloh towards Kuala Selangor," he said in a statement today.
He said the case was being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, but no reports have been made regarding the incident so far.
He urged the owner of the dashboard camera footage or any witnesses to come forward to assist with the investigation.
"Witnesses can contact the Sungai Buloh district police headquarters at 03-61561222.
"Members of the public can also reach out to the investigating officer Inspector Muhammad Fahmi Shamsuddin, at 014-3667353," he said.
