GEORGE TOWN: DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng today said veteran DAP leader Dr Tan Seng Giaw has been incommunicado since early this year.
He said this when asked if Dr Tan had not contacted him before a recent Facebook posting, where the latter expressed concern over the changing coastline and diminishing greenery in Balik Pulau.
Speaking to newsmen at his office in Komtar, Lim said he has not been able to reach Dr Lim since early this year.
"He has been incommunicado. We will deal with it internally.
"You are not a party member. If yes, I will tell you," Lim said when further pressed on Dr Tan.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, Dr Tan lamented what he had witnessed during a drive in Balik Pulau.
"Going around Penang island today, we find the coast is changing, and Balik Pulau is less green. The population of 850,000 require houses and employment. The priority is to preserve the forest and the green."
Following Dr Tan's posting, state MCA chairman Datuk Tan Teik Cheng said the senior DAP leader's comments should not be taken lightly.
