KUALA LUMPUR: Eighty PKR parliamentary candidates contesting in the 15th General Election (GE15) logged more than RM354 million in total net asset value.
The asset declaration, uploaded on the calonkeadilan.org website, still needed to include that of PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife, Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
The candidate with the highest net asset was PKR's candidate for Tanah Merah, Datuk Seri Mohd Supardi Md Noor, the Kelantan PKR chairman.
He declared a total net asset of RM106.1 million, higher than at least 40 candidates who had already submitted their documents on the website.
Next on the list was Sungai Buloh hopeful Datuk R. Ramanan, with assets worth RM63.5 million, followed by Hulu Selangor candidate Dr Sathia Prakash with RM40 million.
Based on checks, Mohamad Supardi owns assets up to RM100 million from his investments in DNS Capital Sdn Bhd and iLimo Stalite LTD, while RM5.3 million of his assets are properties.
Records on the website also showed that he held positions as the Yayasan Hijrah Selangor executive director, National Entrepreneur Group Economic Fund (Tekun) chairman and Iris Corp executive director.
As for Ramanan, his net assets include property worth RM27 million.
The supporting document for Dr Sathia, who owns a chain of clinics, has yet to be added to the website.
