KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Dr Noraini Ahmad, who has successfully retained her Wanita Umno chief position, is determined to bring the wing to a higher level.
In a Facebook post, Noraini, who is a Parit Sulong member of parliament, also expressed her gratitude for her recent victory in the party's polls.
In an unofficial result, Noraini defeated Tan Sri Shahrizat Abd Jalil to remain the Wanita chief for the 2023-2026 term.
"Alhamdulillah. All praise is only for Allah SWT.
"Many thanks to Wanita Umno nationwide and #SusahSenangBersama friends, for their continued support and trust in me to lead Wanita Umno as its chief.
"Let's continue the empowerment of women to a higher level and make it a reality," she wrote.
The official result is expected to be announced by Umno election committee chairman Tan Sri Shahrir Samad later today.
