JOHOR BARU: Johor Amanah will hold its state convention on Saturday, focusing on political alliances and election strategies.
State chairman Aminolhuda Hassan said the main part of the agenda would discussions related to cooperation with Umno and Barisan Nasional in the upcoming state and general elections.
"The convention will be specifically focused on our relationship and cooperation with Johor BN and Umno in the upcoming GE and state elections.
"Discussions will also centre around our readiness to negotiate with our Pakatan Harapan partners over constituencies currently allocated to Muda, namely the Muar parliamentary seat and the Puteri Wangsa state seat.
"The seats were previously given as a courtesy to Johor Muda.
"The convention themed 'Membugar Kekuatan Mendepani Pilihanraya' (Building Strength to Face the Elections) is geared towards preparing for the 16th General Election," he said in a statement.
Aminolhuda said issues related to the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on Batu Puteh, a subject that the state party had fought hard for, will also be discussed.
