Niro Ceramic Group launches the country's first slim tiles for households and property developers

Niro Ceramic Group has introduced the country's first slim tiles (SLIM), a ground-breaking product that appeals to both homes and real estate developers.

In comparison to traditional tiles that range in thickness from 11 to 18 millimetres (mm), the SLIM series is incredibly light and thin, measuring only 6 mm in thickness.

It's the newest tile in the Niro Granite series, which weighs only slightly more than 1 kilogramme per square foot and is 50 per cent lighter than regular-sized tiles.

The tiles, which live up to their slogan of "super thin, super light," are adaptable since they are simple to cut and mould into any desired design using one's imagination.

Homeowners and builders can experiment with original designs to fill gaps thanks to their adaptability.

Additionally, the tiles may be put in over an already-tiled floor, cutting down on renovation time by up to 75 per cent while also being more environmentally friendly. Michelle Johnson, marketing general manager of Niro Ceramic Group, said that Niro Granite SLIM is another cutting-edge product from the company following the first slip-stop technology product in Malaysia.

She said that SLIM tiles' innovation represents a significant turning point for the company.

"Not only does it offer various benefits to homeowners and contractors due to the products' versatility and durability, but it also offers easier renovations in terms of workmanship, as well as supporting creative ideas to achieve fancier shape tile designs for the modern home lifestyle," she said.

She claimed that the ability of SLIM tiles to be laid over existing flooring eliminates the need for hacking, reducing noise pollution and air pollution because fewer old tiles are wasted that end up in landfills.

SLIM tiles produce 35 per cent less raw ingredients, which reduces greenhouse gas emissions and increases energy savings.

Johnson said the debut of the new edition is in accordance with the group's sustainability commitment to reduce waste and use non-renewable resources as effectively as feasible.
