Unifi remains as Super League title sponsor

SUBANG JAYA: Telekom Malaysia’s Unifi will remain as the title sponsor of the Super League and Malaysia Cup.

There were talks that Unifi would pull out as the title sponsor, but it looks like they will be honouring their deal with the Malaysian Football League until it expires in 2025.

MFL also launched their new logo at a leading hotel here on Thursday.

The Unifi Super League, which starts next month, will comprise defending champions Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), Selangor, Kedah, Terengganu, PKNS, Kuala Lumpur, Perak, Pahang, Melaka, Perak SEDC, Felda United and PJ City FC.

JDTII, Kelantan, Negri Sembilan, UiTM, UKM, Police, Sabah, Sarawak, Penang, Terengganu FC II, Perlis and Selangor United make up the Premier League.

100PLUS were the Premier League title sponsor last season, but they are now only the official Isotonic drink for the M-League.

The M-League kicks-off on Feb 1 with the Charity Shield Cup between JDT and Perak scheduled on the following day at the Larkin Stadium in Johor Baru.

The logo launch was graced by MFL board of director member Datuk Yusoff Mahadi in the absence of the chairman Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim and chief executive Kevin Ramalingam.

“We hope the M-League will be exciting in the upcoming season. We hope teams will do their best to achieve good results,” said Yusoff Mahadi.

MFL also launched their mobile application which will provide the latest updates, fixtures, results, ticket purchasing and match statistics. It will be available for downloading from Jan 23.
